Admissions and Recruitment
Admission is open to applicants 18 years
of age or older. Applicants who are 16 and 17 years of age and have
been officially released from their high schools may also be
admitted. When registering, all applicants must have proof of address
(i.e., a Driver's License, State ID, voter registration card, or utility
bill).
Admission to the South Chicago Campus is open to anyone seeking to:
- Prepare to take the GED exam
- Prepare to take the CNA exam
- Prepare to take the Citizenship test
- Become proficient in the English language
- Improve current job skills
- Improve employment opportunities
- or just taking a special interest course

- Course selections
- Questions about individual courses
- Financial assistance opportunities

- Tutoring
- Transfer information
- GED testing information
Tutoring
Olive Harvey College South Chicago Campus offers tutoring in the following areas:
- Mathematics
- Computer programs
Assistance with other areas such as Internet navigation,
NovaNET and English may also be available. Inquire at the front
office for assistance on these or other subjects.
Students may request a one-on-one tutoring session by contacting the front
office to be referred to one of our tutors, or requesting a tutorial
session from one of our tutors directly. One-on-one tutoring sessions are
on a first come first serve basis.
