About South Chicago Campus

Our History in the South Side of Chicago
The Olive-Harvey College South Chicago Campus (SCC), formerly named the South Chicago Learning Center, was established by the City Colleges of Chicago in March of 1988. The Campus offers Vocational Technical Programs, General Education Diploma (GED), English as a Second Language (ESL), Citizenship, Weekend College Continuing Education courses, and a select number of college credit courses. The South Chicago Campus is located at 3055 East 92nd Street in the South Chicago area.

Olive-Harvey CollegeThe average semester enrollment at South Chicago Campus is approximately 1,200 per semester. The Adult Education program is the largest component at South Chicago Campus, approximately 1,000 students are enrolled. There are in the region of 200 students enrolled in Continuing Education, half of these are in Vocational Technical programs, and the remaining are in the six-week courses. In the College Credit offerings there are about 100 students enrolled annually. The Campus offers classes in the morning, evening, and on weekends (Friday and Saturday.) Some support services offered at SCC include advisement services, and the NovaNET tutorial service.
