Student Activities plays a vital role in the success of Olive-Harvey College and of its students by providing quality services and programs, which contribute to the mission of the college and the development of the social and academic development of the student population. Our goal is to assist in the professional growth and academic success of our students. We strive to empower the students to help them succeed at OHC and beyond.

 

STUDENT CLUBS

 

Student Government Association (SGA)

Advocating student rights and services, this association represents the student body and presents its concerns to the college administration. All OHC students have the opportunity to participate in the elections to determine who their Student Government Association (SGA) representatives will be each year.

African Student Association

The objective of the African American Studies Association (A.A.S.A) is to promote and emphasize academic excellence by encouraging African students to maintain a good academic record. The A.S.A works to promote unity throughout the campus and the community, to serve as an intermediary between African students and the student population at Olive-Harvey College, and to serve as a forum for discussion of needs and problems affecting Africans in college, in the community, and in the world at large.

 

Organization of Latin American Students (OLAS) Club

One of the most active clubs at Olive-Harvey College, OLAS celebrates the diversity of Latin American culture. The club coordinates activities for Hispanic Heritage Month, El Dia de Los Muer-tos Celebration, the Latin American Cafe and other events. Students participate in cultural and educational activities. Feel free to stop room L426 to find out when our next group meeting will be held.

 

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)
The national junior college honor society encourages academic excellence, promotes leadership and fosters a social network dedicated to service.
